The juniper not only gives this heathland its name, but also has a special significance for the region around Steinhagen and is one of the oldest ecosystems in Europe. Discover how the juniper, together with heather and other typical heather plants, creates a unique landscape that serves as a habitat for numerous animal species. This 12-kilometre hike promises beautiful and varied landscapes.
