Guided hike south of the Sachsenring

PDF

Hiking
At 18 km, the Sachsenring is the longest circular hiking trail in Bad Driburg. In the southern section, you hike along the Iburg ruins.

You have to hike a little way out of the town to reach the southern section of the "Sachsenring" circular hiking trail. However, you are far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town and can enjoy your first panoramic view of Bad Driburg above the former "Uhlenmühle" mill; a completely new perspective. The trail continues through the cozy beech forests via the former "Gypsy Square", the Trappistenhof, a former monastery, towards Iburg. The stop at the Sachsenklause and the unique second panoramic view from there must first be earned, however, with an admittedly somewhat steep climb. On the other hand, the path back down into the valley is sloping and, above all, shorter.
