The "Johannes-Gelhaus-Weg" is an attractive circular hiking trail that takes you in a south-westerly direction around the Bad Driburg district of Reelsen. Along the 3.4 km circular trail you will find the historic bakery, a half-timbered house from 1627, the Heimkehrerkreuz from 1955 and the Reelsen railroad tunnel.

The "Johannes-Gelhaus-Weg" is named after the very dedicated village poet and master of ceremonies of the Schützenbrüderschaft St. Martinus, Johannes Gelhaus (1919-1998). He was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1983 for his services to Reelsen.
