How can we tell marginal stories without putting people in the foreground
What happens when a robin is at the center of a story
In FIELD1 a future emerges that critically questions today's systems and empowers non-humans.
Through a combination of concert, performance and installation, Kess&Endra invites the audience to engage with stories of coexistence.
It bubbles. It crawls. It cries. It squeaks and screams and sings. These are the stories that not humans, but all other living creatures continuously write. Kess&Endra creates a stage narrative that is shaped by non-human creatures and proposes counter-designs to life today.
How can we tell marginal stories without putting humans in the foreground? What happens when a robin is at the center of a story? In FIELD1, a future emerges that critically questions today's systems and empowers non-humans. Through a combination of concert, theater, performance and installation, Kess&Endra invites the audience to engage with stories of coexistence. Donna Haraway, Ursula Le Guin and Anna L. Tsing are important sources of inspiration for the collective. They deal with science fiction and speculative fabulation - with new narratives and relationships.
