n the particularly charming atmosphere of the over 300-year-old listed building Windheim No.2, the museum not only informs visitors about the successful rescue of the last breeding area of the We'3stork in l\ordrhein-Westfalen in a permanent stork exhibition. ln "nusual variety and breadth, the thena stork is illustrated. Taxidermy, models, films, media installations and graphics provide insights into the biology and living environment of storks. In addition, the oriental fairy tale of the Caliph Stork is presented in atmospheric pictures as a slide show and as a wonderful silhouette film by Lotte Reiniger with musical accompaniment. A large part of the museum is dedicated to the multifaceted cultural and historical significance of the stork and the special relationship between storks and humans. The many charming and sometimes rare exhibits include a taxidermied arrow stork and the original, mighty stork's nest that used to sit on the chimney of the old dairy in Döhren. The adjoining Cafe No.2 invites you to linger in the historic hallway and the idyllic beer garden. [www.stoerche-minden-luebbecke.de
