The Weser promenade between the old town and the Corvey World Heritage Site was redesigned for the State Garden Show. In addition to the widened main path, on which cyclists, pedestrians and wheelchair users can now easily pass each other, a narrow path was created directly on the banks of the Weser, alluding to the historic towpath. Alternatively, a ridgeway provides a higher perspective. Below the railway embankment, the longest bench in NRW at 70 metres is an ideal place to rest and take a break. From there, a 50 metre wide set of steps leads down to the waters of the Weser.
Enjoy the view of the Weser and the Solling.
In the summer months, the beautiful Weser promenade is used on some weekends for events organised by the Huxarium Gartenpark Höxter.
