The club organizes regular training sessions, tournaments and joint events and works together with regional golf courses. Beginners are given a low-threshold introduction to golf, while advanced players can develop their skills in a targeted manner.
The club values an open and friendly atmosphere: guests are welcome every day, club membership is not mandatory and players with a handicap of up to 54 can play on both courses. In addition to the sporting aspect, the Universitätsgolfclub Paderborn e. V. attaches great importance to team spirit, fair play and social interaction. The club sees itself as an open platform for all golf enthusiasts and actively contributes to the sporting diversity at Paderborn University.
The club uses the 18-hole course "Haxterhöhe Links" in particular as its home course - a course designed according to Scottish models with an undulating dune character, numerous bunkers and spectacular views over the Paderborn plateau. It is characterized by sparse vegetation, natural limestone structures and variable wind conditions, which make the game challenging and varied.
In addition, there is a 9-hole "University" course, which is flat with water hazards and is ideal for beginners or a quick round. The infrastructure also includes extensive practice facilities such as a driving range, putting and chipping greens and practice bunkers.
Additional services on site include a clubhouse, catering, pro store, equipment for hire and qualified golf lessons. Young people and students benefit from discounts on green fees, and VcG players are also very welcome.
