Stolpersteine Petershagen Mindener Straße 39

Information point

Petershagen Stumbling Stones commemorate people who were victims of the Nazi regime. Through this initiative, their names remain present.

Stolpersteine are small, square-shaped paving stones with a 10x10 cm brass plate. At the respective residential address, this small plate refers to the victims as follows:
"This is where the victim lived - then the name of the victim - the dates of life and death - as well as the place of deportation and death and, if ascertainable, the cause of death."
All victim groups of the time are represented: Jews, Sinti & Roma, euthanasia victims, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, priests, communists.
Stones are also laid for people who escaped deportation by fleeing or who were driven to suicide by the threat at the time.
The artist Gunter Demnig is the initiator and driving force behind the entire project.
Information about the victims and the Stolpersteine campaign can also be found on the www.synagoge-petershagen.de  in the "Topics" section.
