The oldest part of the Spexard farmhouse dates back to 1536, while the stables were built in 1572. It originally stood on Helmholtzstrasse very close to the A2 highway. Work on moving the building to Lukasstraße began in 1993. In January 1995, it was officially opened by the Spexard clubs and the local population. Today, the building is available to all clubs and groups for events. It is owned by the city of Gütersloh. The Spexard Farmhouse is managed by the Spexard Heritage Society.
