City Hall/Citizens’ services

Built in 1906, the old Amtshaus - formerly the residence of the district director and seat of the district administration in one - now houses the town hall, the modern service center of the municipal administration for all districts.

In the town center on Mindener Straße and Spiegelstraße, several other historic farmhouses have been preserved, in which farming was carried out alongside the town's trade right up to the present day. The town house from 1753 on the church square, which today houses the town archives and the town library, is particularly noteworthy. Also worth seeing are the houses and villas built in Art Nouveau style in Rathausstraße from around 1902 to around 1920.
