Plaggenmühle Döhren

The watermill, built in the middle of the 18th century, is located in an idyllic grove and is equipped with an overshot water wheel on the reservoir. The grist mill has a rare upper drive. In a separate building there is an old sawmill with a horizontal creel, the only one of its kind along the Westphalian Mill Road. Today, the mill also serves as a popular venue for rural wedding ceremonies.

Openings

Can be viewed from the outside at any time. Access by appointment and on the grinding and baking days of the mills in the Minden-Lübbecke district (dates at www.muehlenkreis.de)
