NatureGarden with art objects in Stemwede - a place of harmony between nature and art

An oasis of peace and inspiration

The NaturGarten in Stemwede is much more than just a conventional garden. Here, nature is deliberately designed to be attractive not only to the eye of the beholder, but also to wildlife. Numerous native plant species, flowers and trees create a habitat for insects, birds and small animals. At the same time, the artistically designed flowerbeds, meadows and ponds offer visitors a retreat where they can enjoy the tranquillity of nature.

Art in harmony with nature

A particular highlight of the garden are the ArtObjects, which are set up in various places. The works come from local and national artists who have made it their mission to present their art in dialog with nature. Whether made of stone, metal, wood or glass - each work of art blends harmoniously into its surroundings and becomes part of the natural landscape. This creates exciting contrasts between the living forms of nature and the often abstract, artistic designs.

Sculptures and objects - including those by Wunderlich, Meinecke, Ruoff, Höller, Rehling and Tonschek as well as sculptures from the Shona culture - enter into a symbiosis with the landscape and await discovery.
