Mill
Vlotho had over twenty water-powered mills on the Linnenbeeke and Forellenbach. On the tributaries to the Linnenbeeke and Forellenbach, there were further mill sites that exclusively used water power.
The former monastery mill from 1258 is the oldest known facility in the immediate vicinity of the Weser. Due to the special topography (over 200 m difference in altitude between Krumme Mühle on Bonstapel and the monastery mill on the Weser), the large number of water-powered grinders and other stations could be built at all.
