Haus Krus in Bellersen, the village B. of the Jew's Beech, bears witness to the long and varied history of the region.
An exhibition on the life and work of Annette von Droste-Hülshoff is on display. In addition to background information on the writer Droste-Hülshoff and her masterpiece novella "The Jew's Beech", interesting facts about the conditions in the local region at the time and the historical background of the Jew's Beech are also conveyed via audio stations and room installations.
The building also houses an extensive archive with book treasures from the region. This is where the history and stories of Paderborn Abbey can be found.
The modern extension houses the show distillery of the Bellersen fruit distillery. The distillery team welcomes guests who want to experience the traditional craftsmanship of distilling high-quality fruit brandies up close and live on site.
