Fortress/Castle
The Princely Residence Palace of Detmold was the seat of the ruling Counts and Princes of Lippe from the 16th century until 1918 and is still the ancestral seat of the family.
As part of the guided tours, you can experience the rooms of Detmold Castle with its history, the building and its fantastic ambience.
The various magnificent rooms provide insights into the epochs of the Renaissance (Neo-Renaissance, Weser Renaissance), Baroque and Modernism.
