Single-nave, Gothic parish church from the 14th century with remains of a previous building (13th century).

West extension in the 1st half of the 17th century with Renaissance windows; dedicated to St. John the Baptist until the Reformation. Church interior with, among other things, a reredos (13th century), sacrament house (1489), west altar table (around 1650), Mengersen tomb slabs (1558/84), epitaph of the von Kanne family (16th/17th century), count's priests (after 1700).

Directions & Parking facilities

The church in the middle of Schwalenberg's old town can only be reached on foot.
Parking is available outside the old town in the Mengersen parking lot. The bus stop at Oekerberg is also located there.
