"Wildes Holz" are the musicians Tobias Reisige (recorder), Johannes Behr (guitar) and Markus Conrads (double bass and mandolin). With this unusual line-up, the musicians have been conquering Germany's stages for years with their individual interpretations of everything from classical music to hard rock, leaving audiences surprised and delighted time and time again.

The Elbphilharmonie, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival, the Mozartfest Würzburg and the Beethovenfest Bonn are just some of their references. The band name "Wildes Holz" describes the performance very aptly: wild!

Tobias Reisige - recorder

Tobias always wanted to be a recorder player. He started at the age of six and, unlike most people, never stopped. He studied classical recorder at the Folkwang University in Essen and then trained to become probably the only graduate jazz recorder player in Germany. Tobias is active as a recorder and saxophone player in various ensembles and as a soloist. He also regularly leads workshops and training courses on jazz and improvisation on the recorder.

Johannes Behr - guitar

Johannes is originally from Remscheid. But that didn't stop him from learning the acoustic guitar self-taught, studying jazz guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, becoming a member of the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra and playing with Tom Gaebel and numerous other well-known jazz musicians. Tobias and Markus are really enthusiastic about his musicality and joy of playing and are very happy that he decided to crown his career with Wildes Holz!

Markus Conrads - double bass and mandolin

Markus managed to train as a computer scientist alongside his music, but had to realize that no program, however well written, can replace a fat bass. So he studied jazz double bass at the Folkwang University in Essen and has been playing for all he's worth ever since. His engagements have taken him to China, Korea, Russia, Poland, Italy and even Bavaria, his bass can be heard on numerous CDs and his joy in making music can be seen at every performance.
