A panoramic terrace invites you to linger. Children can let off steam in the play area, and Skudden sheep and alpacas are waiting to be fed and stroked in an outdoor enclosure. In the educational and information center, modern media convey everything worth knowing about raptors, the history of falconry and the Eagle Observatory's role in species conservation - ideal for visits by school classes and other groups.
Our tip:
Be sure to visit the flight shows, where the falconers tell interesting and entertaining stories about the observatory and the birds of prey that live there. The visitors are actively involved and sometimes it's "Watch out, heads down!" when the birds of prey land on the falconer's hand again after a flight over the valley.
