Discover the mill route as a stage tour in four days over a total distance of around 275 kilometers. Riding from mill to mill, you can expect a wonderful landscape and exciting explanations from genuine East Westphalian originals. Take a break in the shade of the mills or stop off for a good cup of coffee and a delicious piece of butter cake in one of the mills along the route.

Stage 1: Of mills, waters and storks: Cycle tour along the Weser cycle path from Minden via Petershagen and Lahde bathing lake.

You can choose to start at Minden train station if you arrive by train, at Kanzlers Weide if you arrive by car or at one of the central hotels in Minden if you arrive the day before. We will be happy to advise you here.

From Minden, head north towards Petershagen, past the idyllic Lahder Badesee lake to Schlüsselburg. The route then heads south again to Minden-Stemmer. Discover Germany's only grist mill in Minden or the Totenhausen windmill and many more on this stage.

You can end the day in comfort at the Hotel zur Stemmer Post.
