Discover the southern border of the North German Plain from Preußisch Oldendorf. Even the Romans had to laboriously find their way between the foot of the Wiehengebirge and the moors of the plain. Today we have it easier, and a lot more comfortable on a bike!
This route runs through a beautiful rural idyll with many small, liveable villages until just before the Mittelland Canal. There are also old manor houses worth seeing along the way, such as Hüffe Castle in Lashorst, Hollwinkel Castle in Hedem and the Groß-Engershausen manor in Engershausen.
