Erlesene Natur: Waldschule Modexen im Stadtwald Brakel

Starting from the Modexen Forest Adventure School, the nature trail introduces visitors to the secrets of the forest and its inhabitants, some of whom are hidden in the surrounding area. The forest school itself is a contact point for all those involved in nature and environmental education. Clubs, associations, schools, kindergartens, nature and landscape guides or other interested parties can use the premises of the forest school, the surrounding meadow and the neighbouring forest for nature experience events. Catching materials such as air and water landing nets, identification literature and discovery waistcoats with extensive equipment are available for young naturalists.
A fixed high stand allows up to 10 people to observe changing wildlife, while a sky pond invites you to discover the underwater world. The finds can literally be scrutinised in the old coach house of the former forester's lodge. There is also a weatherproof rustic meeting room for approx. 20 people. Individual events can also be planned and organised by arrangement with nature and landscape guides and forest educators.
