The Bad Driburg cycle routes lead you through a varied and at the same time calming low mountain range landscape. The well-developed cycle paths and the scenic surroundings of the Teutoburg Forest / Eggegebirge Nature Park, combined with modern sports, leisure and spa facilities, offer ideal recreational opportunities in Bad Driburg. On this tour, you will follow the traces of glassmaking and the glass trade, which have characterized Bad Driburg for centuries. You will pass old sites of former forest glassworks in the forest, but also the sites of the large glass companies glaskoch "Leonardo" and Ritzenhoff&Breker, which still export Bad Driburg glass all over the world today.

Glass blowing has a long tradition in Bad Driburg: the first glassworks was established near Bad Driburg back in 1420. In a show glassworks, you can still experience how glass is blown in the old tradition today. With brands such as "Leonardo" and "Ritzenhoff & Breker", Bad Driburg is still one of the most important glass trading centers in Europe.

On this tour, you will follow in the footsteps of Bad Driburg's centuries-old glass tradition. You will pass old sites of former forest glassworks in the forest near Siebenstern. The tour continues to Herste, where three-dimensional sculptures encased in a geometrically stinging glass cube rise into the sky - the LEONARDO glass cube, with which the glaskoch company has created a company symbol in the spirit of corporate architecture. The company "Ritzenhoff & Breker" has its headquarters directly opposite.
