St. Laurentius Celebrates St. Martin
You are cordially invited to the St. Martin’s Festival on Friday, November 13, at 5:00 p.m. at St. Laurentius Church. The event will begin with the St. Martin’s celebration, during which children from the parish will reenact the legend of St. Martin, including the sharing of his cloak. The lantern procession, led by St. Martin on horseback, will start at 5:30 p.m. in front of the church and will be accompanied by the Nordborchen Brass Band.
The procession will wind through the lower part of the village and end at the Laurentius Barn, where the Scouts will light the St. Martin’s bonfire. There, St. Martin’s croissants will be handed out, and mulled wine and punch will be available for purchase. By the light of the bonfire, there will still be time to linger and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. The St. Martin’s croissants will be distributed only in exchange for tokens. These tokens can be purchased for 1.80 euros starting now at the Nicolibri bookstore.
