Fair, activities, live music, culinary delights and lots of entertainment - the onion market in Bünde is traditionally celebrated on the last weekend in September. And soon it will be that time again: from 25 to 28 September, the people of Bünde and all guests from near and far can look forward to a varied program. The event, which is known far beyond the borders of the town on the Elbe, once again promises a mixture of folk festival, funfair, open-air party, music festival, tent party, flea market and funfair hustle and bustle. Project 1, Breakdancer, Autoscooter, Twister, Barockflieger, Kindereisenbahn, Jumpstreet, Musikexpress, 3D-Fun-Labyrinth or Crystals City: The big rides will be in the Else- and Hangbaumstraße area all the way to the marketplace to be found .
The fairground events will take place as usual primarily along Esch- and Bahnhofstraße . There and partly in the side streets traders will offer their goods - from toys to costume jewelry or cell phone cases to textiles. In addition there are lottery stalls, slot machine games, ball and dart throwing and other Fairground attractions such as the typical hearty or sugary fairground delicacies and snacks.From the beer cart to the cocktail stand: drinks for almost every taste are available in the entire city center, for example the Tiki-Bar on the Rathausplatz or the Berghaus-Beer-Factory on the Tönnies-Wellensiek-Platz.


An integral part of every onion market is the live music program.Bands and individual musicians present themselves and their different styles on the stage at the town hall and the Sparkasse stage on the Tönnies-Wellensiek-Platz : Top40, Soul, Funk, Oldies, Schlager, Disco, Folk or Rock. In front of the Güterfabrik on Eschstraße on Friday and Saturday evening a DJ for entertainment, also from Thursday to Saturday at Wehrmanns an der Else.
Of course the onion market also includes a firework display the dazzling spectacle begins on Friday evening after nightfall (around 9 pm). On Sunday the shops in the city center open from 1-6 pm for a  "sales open".If the weather plays along even halfway, which it did very often in the past, the organizers expect the organizers on the four days with tens of thousands visitors from the entire district of Herford and beyond .
