Öffentliche Stadtführung Herford: Friedhof an der Hermannstraße

Guided tour/tour
The walk through the wonderful avenues of lime trees in the cemetery, which was laid out in 1873, is also a tour through the history of Herford.

The graves of the founders of numerous industrial companies are on display, as well as those of politicians, artists and other well-known Herford residents who helped shape the town's history, such as Dieter Ernstmeier, Gustav Kopka, Fritz Vogelstrom, Wilhelm Busse, Frieda Nadig and Ludwig Quentin. Some gravestones are pompous, artistic, some modest and in one case there is also a mausoleum to discover.

Meeting point is in front of the cemetery chapel.

Registration is not required.

Please pay the tour guide directly on site if possible. Children up to the age of 14 walk free of charge
