Medieval sounds for the 80th birthday of the Cathedral Building Association Minden
Medieval sounds for the 80th birthday of the Cathedral Building Association Minden

With a special concert, the Cathedral Building Association Minden will mark a musical conclusion to the celebrations for its 80th anniversary on Saturday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Minden Cathedral. The Leipzig ensemble "Nimmersêlich" will take its audience on a musical journey back to the Middle Ages.

Using historical instruments, expressive singing, and great enthusiasm, the ensemble brings the sound world of the 11th to 13th centuries to life. Sacred and secular music from a time that also significantly shaped the history of the Minden Cathedral will be at the center of the evening. The special acoustics and atmosphere of the cathedral provide an impressive setting for this.

Since its founding in June 1946, the interdenominational Cathedral Building Association Minden has been committed to the preservation and promotion of the Minden Cathedral and its significant cathedral treasure. With the birthday concert, the association aims not only to reflect on eight decades of voluntary commitment but also to celebrate the lively connection of history, culture, and the present.

Tickets for the concert are available at the visitor service of the Minden Cathedral Treasure, Kleiner Domhof 24, as well as online at www.dvm-event.de.
