In Concert: Ansgar Specht Quartett

On Friday, November 13, 2026, Bielefeld-based musician Ansgar Specht will perform with his jazz quartet at the Bürgerhaus. Ansgar Specht has long since ceased to be an insider’s tip and has become a fixture on the jazz scene. The guitarist captivates audiences with his groovy, unique take on jazz and is a welcome guest artist. After studying privately with Philippe Caillat, he consistently developed his own style, which falls somewhere between lounge, modern jazz, bebop, fusion, and pop. He also spent time studying in New York, took lessons from Jeff Richman (Los Angeles), and attended workshops led by Frank Gambale and Jean Pierre Llabbador. As a composer and producer, he has released six CDs to date. At the concert at the Bürgerhaus Porta Westfalica, he will present his new quartet and many new compositions. Joining him will be musicians Georg Rox (piano, electric piano), Michael Wächter (bass), and Udo Schräder (drums).
