Leonard Cohen (1934 - 2016) was many things: Jew and Buddhist, musician and writer, introverted ladies' man and intellectual poet. He wrote and sang about freedom and love, death and religion. And he created songs that should actually be declared a part of the world cultural heritage: “Bird on a Wire,” “Suzanne,” “Hallelujah”.
Lutz Debus (guitar, bass, vocals) and Holger Jenrich (lyrics) musically and narratively move through the life of the Canadian singer and poet. Debus, a social educator and musician, lives in Dortmund. Jenrich, a trained daily newspaper editor, author, and publicist, lives in Hanover and Lünen.
