Ganna and Tal Arditi, two protagonists of the Berlin music scene, create a modern world of sound colors. The Berlin-based musicians take great pleasure in improvising modern jazzy arrangements of old Ukrainian folk songs.
Ganna Gryniva came to Germany from Ukraine with her parents in 2002 at the age of 13. Her album HOME was celebrated by the music press as "Album of the Year" (DLF Kultur) and "Jazz Highlight of the Year" (Bayrischer Rundfunk). Her various cultural roots unfold in her music. Inspired by folklore research trips in various regions of Ukraine, Ganna is actively committed to spreading the cultural heritage from Ukraine internationally
Ganna has been awarded a performance at WOMEX 2024! The world's largest music fair for world, roots, ethnic, traditional and local music and folk will present her solo performance in Manchester, UK at the end of October. A portrait can be seen on arte/tv.
Tal Arditi, Israeli-born guitarist, composer, singer and songwriter was recognized as a young guitar prodigy at the age of 16. He studied at the renowned Jazz Institute program at Rimon Music University in Tel Aviv and moved to Berlin shortly afterwards.
