Historic site
A 300-year-old granary in the upper town of Bad Wünnenberg was rebuilt from original parts and is now used by the local history association as a distillery, café and meeting place. There is also an adjoining herb garden.
Take a tour of our historic granary, have the distillery explained to you or soak up the historic ambience over coffee and cake. During opening hours, you can sample and purchase the products of the Heimatverein.

In 2007, the Heimatverein Wünnenberg built a historic granary from original parts that are around 300 years old. The granary previously stood in the village of Westerwiehe, where it was dismantled and some of the beams and components were stored. A small extension has been added to the granary building so that there is enough space for events and groups.

In the cellar of the building there is a schnapps distillery where high-quality brandies are made from local fruit. Tradition and customs are cultivated in the granary: For example, traditional crafts are displayed here and other home-made food products are sold. In the immediate vicinity is a restored barn with a kitchen and small bar area, which can be used for parties, brunches or other events.

Visits, demonstrations of the schnapps distillery and appointments for groups on request.
