Meinolfus Chapel in the Valley of Peace near Böddeken Estate
The name derives from the Büdiken convent, which was founded in 837 AD by Meinolph, the son of a Saxon nobleman, whose mother Wichtrud became the first abbess of the convent. Meinolph's Chapel, not far from the abbey, commemorates the founder and is now the hereditary burial place of the von Mallinckrodt family.
