Simon-August Denkmal

Monument
Simon August Count of Lippe, an outstanding personality in the long chain of Lippe rulers who elevated Meinberg to the status of "Curort" in 1767.
The monument was donated by his son Leopold I around 220 years ago. Relocated in 1984 between the historic spa gardens and the Seekurpark, after first standing in the Lustgarten in Detmold, then on the Büchenberg in Detmold and finally behind the Brunnenhalle.
