Pumpenhaus

Historic site
The pump house from 1929 has three bog pumps (original Borsig mammoth pumps) and is not only of interest to technology enthusiasts.

The peat was transported from the peat fields to the pump house using a field railroad and the typical "wagons" that are still used today as decorative elements

The pumps pumped a mixture of mineral water and peat via a
pipeline from the peat extraction plant outside the town to the spa clinics.

The used peat was pumped back through a parallel pipeline for regeneration.
