Moor-Abbaubecken

Nature discovery trail
nature experiences - various
At the moor trench in Bad Meinberg you can clearly see the different moor fields, which are separated from each other by dams.

These 16 peat fields enable a temporally and spatially differentiated peat extraction and the subsequent regeneration and new formation of the peat.

The alternation between the extraction-regeneration phase and the return of the already "used" peat from the bathing facility to the regeneration basins supports the new formation of the peat.
