History(ies) from the beginning of settlement to the founding of Löhn in 1969

History from the beginning of settlement to the founding of the town of Löhne in 1969

The small but fine museum houses impressive mammoth teeth and other evidence of prehistory from Löhne. There are also many living witnesses to rural history from the surrounding area. The railroad is a particular focus - for many years Löhne was considered an important rail transportation hub for the whole of Germany - and rounds off the exhibition alongside exhibits on wood and cigars. Outside the door, you can admire an old cigar maker's house and a half-timbered storehouse.
