Mairie, das alte Bürgermeisterhaus

Historic site

After the town fire of 1804, the so-called "Mairie" was built on the market square. Built from massive ashlars during the French occupation, it was intended to serve as both an official residence and a residence for the mayors of the House of Delius. The French word "Mairie" means mayor and this is how the building got its name. Today, there is a café on the first floor.
