Kneipp-Tretbecken im Empertal

The wading pool was completely redesigned in 2007 using natural stones. It is fed by fresh spring water from the Olweke Creek.

The footbath in the Empertal is one of a series of footbaths belonging to the town of Bad Wünnenberg. There are seven footbaths in total, each with its own water trail. Each water trail has a specific theme (in this case: the Leiberg herb bundle), which is part of Sebastian Kneipp’s holistic health concept.

Starting in the summer of 2010, a “Kneipp Water Trail” will guide you through Leiberg and past the footbath. Here you’ll learn about the tradition of tying herb bundles and the effects of the medicinal herbs and plants used for this purpose.
