Popular local recreation area near Büren.
Lake Keddinghausen was built in 1976 as a flood retention basin after the severe Heinrichsflut flood in 1965 and is fed by the River Afte. It serves as a popular local recreation area.

A hiking trail leads around the lake. The lake is also very popular as a fishing spot.
