The railway station in the village of Ottbergen was once important for freight transport and is now a regional hub station for passenger transport.

The station is on the regional railway line RB84 of the NordWestBahn between Holzminden and Paderborn and the RB85 to Göttingen. Both lines run to the station approximately every hour during the day.
