Heimathaus Oesterweg

Historic town centre
Structure/Modern architecture
Home town hall in the Oesterweg district

At the beginning of the 1970s, the Oesterweger Heimathaus was still known as the "Päckskenbude". This is where coffee additive used to be made from chicory roots and sold. The renovation of the dilapidated building and its rededication as the Oesterweger Heimathaus was a key project as part of the village competition "Our village should become more beautiful" in 1975. Since then, the property has been continuously expanded and improved.

The Oesterweg local history association organizes various excursions and festivals as well as hikes and bike tours.
