The Kaiserstein was erected on 13 July 1908 and commemorates the Kaisermanöver of 9-12 September 1907, in which Kaiser Wilhelm III personally took part as a manoeuvre observer and bivouacked on the manoeuvre field on the night of 9/10 September.
