Alpaca Hike
Before each hike, there’s a brief introduction to the care and handling of alpacas. Afterward, you can tour the enclosure and feed the animals. This gives you time to get to know the alpacas at your own pace before the hike begins.
Currently, 13 alpacas are available for the hikes. Once they’re fitted with halters, you’ll set off together for a walk around the Steinhorster Becken. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to take souvenir photos.
The alpaca hikes can be booked online via the booking calendar.
Alpaca Introductory Session
During the alpaca introductory session, you’ll first receive information about how the animals are cared for and how to interact with them. Then you’ll head into the enclosure: you can feed and pet the alpacas, and, if you’re interested, even lead them through the enclosure. Depending on the package, you may also have the opportunity to take a short walk with the animals along the Steinhorster Becken.
Alpaca Yoga
Alpaca yoga combines a yoga session with time spent in nature and close contact with the animals. This activity is organized in collaboration with the Pantarhei Yoga Studio in Rietberg. The yoga session takes place near the alpacas and offers the opportunity to combine exercise with time spent with the animals. There’s also time for souvenir photos.
A Different Kind of Bachelor/Bachelorette Party
For a bachelor or bachelorette party, the program begins with a brief introduction to the care and handling of alpacas. Afterward, participants can feed the animals and get to know them before the group hike begins.
The hike lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours. A glass of sparkling wine is included in the package. Afterward, there’s an opportunity to visit the alpaca shop. There, you’ll find various products made from alpaca fiber as well as other alpaca-related care products. At the end, each participant receives a small gift.
