Bürmsche Wiese
The “Bürmsche Wiese” in the heart of Verl is a sculpture park nestled in a natural oasis where the grass is allowed to grow tall and the works of art invite visitors to linger. Under the title “Benches for Verl,” the four artists Dorothee Golz (Vienna), Christoph Dahlhausen (Bonn and Melbourne), Georg Janthur (Wuppertal), and Stefan Sous (Düsseldorf) have created works of art that are not only objects to be viewed but also serve as seating for visitors.
The redesign of the Bürmsche Wiese was completed in June 2020. The construction of the sculpture park, which originated from a proposal by the Kolping Society of Verl, was designed and artistically supervised by Dr. Christian Krausch (Mönchengladbach).
