The first circular route (EAST) stretches from Dörenhagen to the east and south, taking in all three districts of Dörenhagen, the Nonnenbusch/ Friedwald area and the Paderborn plateau. The second circular route (WEST) connects Dörenhagen with the Haxtergrund, Paderborn's popular local recreation area. From there, it is also possible to "walk on" in the direction of Paderborn, thus perfectly closing the gap from "village to town".
Along the route, 12 information boards have been set up to provide historical and cultural information: for example, you can learn about communication techniques in Prussian times or about the changing locations of the statue of the Virgin Mary on the star in Haxtergrund.
