The W2 hiking trail in Büren-Wewelsburg leads through fields, meadows and sections of forest and also offers insights into historical places in the area.

From the starting point in the village, head south along the Berghof road. The trail runs through meadows and fields and passes below the A44. This is followed by a section to the L818, where you turn right past the Meinolfus Chapel and the military cemetery. The route then turns right into the forest and continues through open fields before crossing the A44 for a second time over a bridge. The route leads back to the starting point via Rhön and Schürenberg roads.

Directions & Parking facilities

Von der A33 kommend die Abfahrt 30 "Etteln" nutzen und der L818 nach Westen in Richtung Böddeken folgen. Ab Böddeken auf die L751 biegen und der Straße bis nach Wewelsburg folgen.

Parkmöglichkeit an der Wandertafel in der Ortsmitte (Ecke Böddeker Straße / Lange Straße).
Vom Parkplatz aus der Straße "Heckweg" vorbei am Friedhof folgen, um zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung zu gelangen (ca. 450 m).

Bushaltestelle: "Bür-Wewelsburg, Bückerweg" (Buslinie 461)
