Altenbeken | Hiking trail V4

From the Eggemuseum, the trail initially leads north through the village and out of Altenbeken via the "Am Kalkofen" road. After passing the railroad line, the route turns right into the forest at the hiking parking lot, past a bench and continues through wooded areas. After leaving the forest, there are wide views before the trail crosses the "Feldmark" path and leads down into the Sagebach valley.

After crossing the L 828, the route heads south through the forest past the western portal of the Rehberg tunnel and then through fields back to Altenbeken. The tour continues parallel to the railroad line via the Bollerborn spring and the Driburger Grund, where you can take a break, to Buke. There, the idyllic park invites you to take a break before the return route leads over the Buker Pilz and then past the old Buke railroad station, along the Rotenbach stream and through meadows and fields back to the starting point.
