Tichlerroute Lage-Leopoldshöhe-Lemgo

Start: Sedanplatz opposite the old Zieglerbahnhof (1) in Lage. Take Von-Cölln-Straße as far as the Technikum (2). At the end of the street, turn right into Lange Straße and follow it to the market square with its Zieglerbrunnen fountain (3). From the market square, head towards the Hirsch pharmacy and turn right into Gerichtsstraße, past the Sparkasse bank. At the end of the street, turn right and then immediately left again into Färberstraße (dead end). Follow the interim signpost for the NRW cycle network until you reach the pedestrian lights. After crossing, follow the signs direction Ohrsen. When you reach Holzhofstraße, follow it to the end and continue straight ahead onto Ohrser Straße, which you also follow to the end. Turn right onto Ehlenbrucher Straße and after approx. 1.2 km turn right again onto Alte Hövenstraße. Follow the signs for the Rüben Route until you reach ImEvenhauserholz. At the end of the road, turn left onto Lagesche Straße, take the 2nd exit at the traffic circle and follow the main road (Hauptstraße) to the market square in Leopoldshöhe (4). From the market square, take the Bürgermeister-Brinkmann-Weg and follow this road. Follow the signs for the Rüben Route again until you reach Heimathof Leopoldshöhe with its local history museum (5). After you have crossed the Heimathof, follow the Rüben Route further into the street Zum Heimathof. At the end, turn onto Kentruperhagen and follow the cycle signs directionLage/Pottenhausen until you come to a traffic circle. Take the 3rd exit and follow the signs direction Sylbach station. Keep right at a fork and cycle onto Lambrachtweg, keeping to the right. Continue following the cycle signs towards the Brickworks Museum (6) until you have reached the museum from the back. After visiting the Brickworks Museum, turn right onto Spirkenheide and follow the cycle signs directionLemgo. The route takes you through the former brickmaking village of Lieme (7). Continue straight ahead until you reach Sepkamp (dead end). Follow the cycle signs Towards Lemgo (Liemer Weg) until Liemer Weg meets Herforder Straße. Turn right and follow the signs direction hist.Stadtkern. At the traffic lights, keep right and continue on Herforder Straße towards the city center until after a few meters, at the next pedestrian crossing, follow the bicycle signs Wall on the left. After approx. 650 m, turn right onto Neue Torstraße and follow the cycle signs towards the hist. City center follow. You will pass the market square. Follow the road until you reach Langenbrücker Tor. From there, continue straight ahead over the railroad tracks and the traffic lights into Steinstoß. Follow the signs Towards Laubke, then you will pass a former clay pit (8). After crossing Liebigstraße, continue straight on into Pahnsiek and follow it to the end. Cross the road at the pedestrian lights and turn right next to the snack bar-restaurant into Kolpingstraße, following the signs direction Lage (Sauernfeldweg --> Brautschatztwete). At the fork, turn left onto Ellernlaubke and follow the signs for Lage until you reach Lagesche Straße. Turn left there. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right into Uferstraße and follow this road until you reach a junction where you turn left into Heideanger. Follow the road to the end and then turn right onto Hardisser Straße, which takes you through the brickmaking village of Hardissen (9). Follow this road for approx. 2 km and then turn left onto Freiligrathstraße. Then turn right onto Lemgoer Straße, which you follow until you reach the Hochbrücke bridge. From there, cycle along the cycle path to the right of the bridge until you reach the start of Elisabethstraße. Use the pedestrian and cycle underpass. On the other side, turn left until you arrive back at Bahnhof Lage.
