The tour starts at the Rethlager mill pond and leads through the adjacent residential area. Past the village church of the Evangelical Free Parish, the route continues through the neighborhood. At Hardenbergstraße, the route continues to the left through Benten. After crossing Bielefelderstraße, the route continues through the fields towards the quarry ponds. The Rethlager Bach stream reappears there, which we follow upstream towards the cemetery. From here, we take Weberstraße back to our starting point;
