You start in the village center in front of the fire station and walk east along Oesterweger Straße, then turn right into Nachtigallenstraße. Continue towards the "Versmolder Bruch" nature reserve, where legend has it that there is a sunken castle which becomes visible again on St. John's Day (24.6.) when the moon is full. Walk along the Rundenburgweg and Niedernstraße past the village pond, the "Antonius Bell" from 1516 and the old farmhouses of Ober-Oesterweg back to the village center.
