Cycling along meadows and rivers on the edge of the Hellweg. Charming landscapes along the Lippe and Heder invite you to relax and linger in Salzkotten. As a highlight, the route also passes the Winkhausen cultural estate and the ruins of Vernaburg Castle.

You can enjoy wonderful cycling in the charming countryside along the southern bank of the River Lippe and on both sides of the River Heder. On the 20-kilometre route, you will explore the villages of Holsen, Schwelle and Winkhausen, known humorously as the "United States". On the way through fields and meadows, you may come across the characteristic Lippe goose, which also adorns the coat of arms of the municipality of Schwelle.
